- I agree frstrm33. It's mind boggling to think that demand (and stockpiles) are the same level as same time last year yet oil has spiked 75% in a year. There's no justification for it whatsoever.

- Charles, you're right. Set the numbers high (job market forcasts) and surprise -- fewer jobs lost --oil goes up. But oil goes up no matter which way the wind blows.

- Okay, NBC, at least let us know where this can be viewed -- waited all night for this highly-anticipated game and didn't see anything anywhere on the channel listings. NBC hyped it up all day but only broadcast the last 30 minutes of the game. Glad the US won, but very disappointed with NBC!!

- I am thankful that checks and balances are in place, i.e., the employment report. For the last several weeks I've been reading "the economy is turning around..." "...oil will continue it's rise..." when I know right here at home the full economic impact has not hit.

- Finally, someone who understands the market. Goldman predicted today that oil will go to $95 a barrel by year end. What do you think THAT does to market? People posting on here should follow Wall Street and you'll understand why oil is priced the way it is.....

I agree with you in the broadest terms. But... Palin drug her daughter across the world wide stage. Her daughter is a minor, an underage child. It is the parent's responsibility to protect the rights of their minor children. The child is not running for office, and I agree with you that she is not part of the equation but the situation is not about that, it's a judgement question. The question is the hockey mother's judgement in exposing her daughter to such a debacle, and of McCain's choice to choose her as a running mate. I think the daughter probably has alot of parenting skills, she's probably had alot of practice in her family, but she is not fodder for the decisions "she" has made. Her mother is a different story.
